love me some utah mountains

On Labor Day the Irion gang got together to go up to Snowbird and ride on the
"flying buses"as the little girls called it and enjoy the mountain.
Here are the little girlies enjoying the ride and scenery!
It was chilly up top! We were not super prepared. B was nice enough to loan me his hoodie.
But it was BEAUTIFUL up top! My word.
We kept saying our typical "We live here! Can you believe how amazing these mountains are?!"

 The whole gang!
 View on the other side.
mmmm.. that Kody though...
I'm not the only one obsessed with him, as we know!
Charlotte wanted Kode to carry her, but right when Lily saw that he was taken- she wanted in on the action as well! ohhhh those smiles just melt me!
We hiked down part of the way.
There is a ski lift you can take the rest of the way down.
You guessed it- Lily wanted to ride with us.
She is the cutest bug! We were all squeezin close cause she is so bitsy I didn't want her to slip out AND it was freezin! So so much fun.
I will never get over these mountains.

A few weeks later, Kode and me, Rob and Angie and our friends Kenz and Gretchen did a mini camping trip! We just went up to Hobble Creek Canyon for one night, but it was such a blast.
Settin up camp. How flippin pretty is the outside?! ahh Love it.
 Lord of the Flame
Angie tryin out Kody's axe that we were all just lovin
We are awesome and don't own a tent yet...but opted to sleep in the bed of the truck. We packed smart so we were warm enough, but were just scrunched in the 5 1/2 foot bed and only had blankets for cushions. hah! Thank goodness it was just one night and it didn't rain on us either!
I still thought it was fun though. So awesome to see the starts at night.
Just staring at the fire while Rob and Angie made us a delicious gourmet dutch over breakfast.
After that, Rob and I just tossed a frisbee around and we just kept chatting or watching Rob & Angie's dog, Nuca run around and chase a filthy tennis ball. So entertaining.

We couldn't believe how much stuff we had to pack just for one night of camping!
Cute Nuca was so muddy still, so we cleared a spot and strapped her into the bed of the truck. She absolutely loved it back there!
Operation mini-camping trip was a huge success. Can't wait to do it again before it gets too cold!

Emerald Isle

We were so lucky to end the summer with a bang.
Summer sales is so so tough and just not very fun at all... so we were looking forward to this little trip and boy did it not disappoint!
We decided to go big and rent a beach house in Emerald Isle for a whole week with
Kyle, Jess and their adorable kiddos, AND a bonus of Kody's parents and youngest brother, Kaden coming out to join us. It was so so dreamy.
For real, when we first got to the beach house, Jess and I couldn't hide our smiles!
It was amazing and we couldn't hold in our excitement.
Who would though? I mean really.

The whole week was fun but relaxing. Just waking up and heading straight to the beach, swimming, eating, rinse and repeat until games, eating Kadens cookies and bedtime.
We did venture out to an aquarium one day- which I absolutely loved. I don't know what it is about aquariums that I just can't get enough of.
I just can't say it enough- it was the ideal vacation and we never wanted to leave.
Kody got a gopro just before this trip and made this amazing video I also can't get enough of.
enjoy!
