our story

Gotta love the typical BYU story...

We met Freshman year

Kody moved into the ward Winter semester

he roomed with his cousin Taylor

my whole apartment was good friends with Tay

We invited them over to play cards that first weekend of the semester

pretty sure my jaw dropped when Kody came in

...as well as the whole Relief Society on Sunday. 

seriously though. 

The stars aligned for me somehow

Kody kept talking to, texting, and facebooking me

who knows why

We were together every day since that night of playing cards.

We started dating pretty quickly

the Relief Society wasn't very happy with me ;)

he later became my home teacher...hilarious
We had a lot of fun together
and I liked him... a lot

The semester ended 

Kody left on his mission 

to Los Angeles California

We wrote a bit
not a lot at first (my bad)
but ended up writing weekly
after a few months...ok 6.



When Kody had 6 months
left in his mission

I left on mine

to St. Petersburg Russia

We loved serving together :)
We would end our emails with
"How lucky we are"
cause we just loved our opportunities to serve as missionaries




We kept writing..
Sometimes we would get gems like this picture...

I couldn't get out of the reflection of the picture I was taking of the computer screen...

funny though

I got home 
After over 3 years and 3 months of not seeing each other
the impossible happened

Needless to say - I thought I was going to explode
:)

We got back to BYU for school
we were together as much as possible

on October 20th
Kody popped the question
we were going to get married in February or January
BUT miracles happen

We were married on November 10th 2012

we couldn't be happier
